What to Expect During Your First Visit
Please arrive about 10 minutes early for your first appointment, so that you have time to fill out any necessary forms. You'll wait for your appointment in our reception area, where you'll find plenty of reading materials to keep you occupied, and comfortable seating.
Your first appointment will take about 90 minutes from start to finish. You and your dentist will begin by discussing your medical history and oral health needs. Next, you will undergo a thorough examination of your gums, teeth, bite and jaws. This will include x-rays, photos, and an oral cancer screening.
Based on your medical history and the results of your exam, your dentist will develop a dental treatment plan for you. Your dentist or hygienist will also answer your questions about your dental health and treatment options.

- How can I book an appointment?
If you would like to book a dental appointment, please contact our office during our regular business hours. If you prefer, you can also book your next appointment while you're here at the office.
If you are having a dental emergency, please call us immediately, and we'll do our best to make room in our schedule to see you.
- How do I cancel or reschedule an appointment?
If you need to cancel or reschedule an appointment, please call us or talk to us in person, rather than emailing. The sooner you let us know about the change of plans, the better. Knowing well in advance will allow us to open up the space in our schedule for another patient.
- Do you offer appointment reminders?
In the days before your appointment, you will receive automated appointment reminders from us by either phone or email. If you must cancel or reschedule an appointment, please call us as soon as possible to let us know.
- Do you offer direct insurance billing?
At Southridge Dental, we accept most insurance plans. On your first appointment, please bring your insurance information with you, and we will be happy to submit your claim to your insurance company directly.
- Do you provide services in any language other than English?
Yes, we provide our dental services in Spanish as well.
- My family is pressed for time. Can we book our appointments at the same time?
Of course! We are happy to accept whole-family appointment bookings for your convenience. Just contact our office, we'd be happy to arrange a time that works for everyone.
